July Round Up

July was our best month so far of this year with 4 winners and an extra 14 placed horses from only 26 runners. Our runners won a total of €89,643.

La Yakfi sold to continue his racing career in Hong Kong, winner of 3 starts and over 117,000 euros in prize money, this 3yo colt by Makfi will continue his career for Robert Ng. We wish new connections the very best of luck with him.

Magical scoops Listed
Magical Dreamer (Acclamation) won the Listed Grand Prix Anjou Bretagne under a good ride from Pierre Bazire. This 5yo mare was a 90,000gns puchase from the Tattersalls December Sale last year having finished 4th in a Listed race for James Fanshawe last year. She was taken wide up the straight by Bazire and she finished strongly to get up on the line and win by a quarter of a length. She is a hugely exciting filly to have in the yard and we look forward to the rest of her season.

Cool Wine wins
Cool Wine (Rajsaman) broke her maiden on 21st July over 2700m at Erbray under Arnaud Bourgeais. Having been sent to the lead around this tight track, this 3yo filly made little work of it in the end to win by 2 lengths. She will go onto handicaps now and can hopefully keep progressing for her owner Mr. Dasmal.

Abdullah double
Morning Basma (Born to Sea) and Inshallah Queen (Casamento) provided owner Mr. Abdullah with a double from as many runners in 3 days. Morning Basma broke her maiden over 1100m at Dieppe on 22nd July to bring her earnings to €61,435 with the benefit of French Owner’s Premiums. After that, Inshallah Queen, a 3yo filly by Casamento, won for the 2nd time this year in a 2700m handicap at Les Sables d’Olonne. She is now 2 wins from 4 runs and we look forward to stepping her up in grade as the season goes on.
